Characterization from Christopher Boone

Christopher Boone is the narator and protagonist of this book, which is a novel. He is 15 years old, mathematically gifted and he struggles for social acceptance and understanding. This is the result of his apparent autism. He views the world largely in absolutes, dividing his life experience into a series of extreme likes and dilikes. He feels most comfortable with logic and order. The search for Wellingtons murder is a great adventure for Christopher. He lives with his Father in a House at 36 Randolph Street. His best friend is his rat Toby, he always have a Swiss Army Knife in his pocket.

My first experience from Christopher
He see the life very diffrent to other person. Things which are for us normal he is afraid of or he can not show emotions like we do. But for me it is very interesting to see the World through Christophers eyes.

Father prepares meals for Christopher and sees to his daily needs. Later on, Christopher uncovers elements of his life that he has long tried to keep hidden. Father owns a heating maintenance and boiler repair business. Christopher’s father often goes to extremes when demonstrating his emotions, occasionally blowing up in anger, and he lacks the confidence to work through his problems verbally. When trying to explain himself he stutters and stops and often has trouble connecting sentences. Like Christopher, he has very few friends—Rhodri is the only one the novel mentions. 2. entry Reflection Write down your first impresssions of the book . Ask some questions. Copy whole passages that are difficult or that you really like a lot. When I read the first page I really wanted to carry on reading this book! The first thing I realized is that the chapters have prime numbers and the characters have really strange names like ‘Siobhan’. I also think that Christopher Boone (protagonist) is a special boy, because he knows all the countries of the world and their capital cities and every prime number up to 7.507. He seems to be a genius. Also he can’t understand emotions, which I think is very unusual. I’m glad that the language is easy to understand. I laughed my socks off. He was the apple of her eye. They had a skeleton in the cupboard. We had a real pig of a day.
